At the ceremony held at Mega Center Sports Facilities, it was announced that a budget of 1 billion 150 million lira was allocated for sports investments in the district.

In addition to Minister Bak, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Bayrampaşa Deputy Mayor İbrahim Akın and former national basketball player Semih Erden attended the ceremony. Within the scope of the investment, Arda Turan, Semih Erden, Necip Uysal, Cevatpaşa and Mega Center sports facilities located within the borders of Bayrampaşa will be modernized and made safer.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak stated that Bayrampaşa has trained important names for Turkish sports such as Semih Erden, Arda Turan, Necip Uysal and Hidayet Türkoğlu. Bak, who announced that they demolished the existing sports hall in the district and will build a modern sports complex in its place, whose tender will be held soon, said that they will also renew the tribune of Bayrampaşa Stadium. Minister Bak also announced that 96 percent of university students who applied to the Credit and Dormitories Institution were placed in dormitories and the bed capacity reached 1 million.
