Machinery and Chemical Industry Inc. The new production facility established by (MKE) in Samsun is preparing to become operational in the second half of 2026. MKE is taking important steps towards the goal of full independence in Turkey's defense industry, with its investment program covering the period 2023-2027 and reaching a total of 1.5 billion dollars. The process started on 10 December 2024 with the visits of MKE General Manager İlhami Keleş and Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan to Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı. Initially designed for the production of MK series materials, the facility aims to become an important production center in the defense industry by spreading over a large area of ​​4 million square meters.
