Minister Memişoğlu, who inspected the construction site of Trabzon City Hospital, which is rapidly rising in the city and will change the health aspect of the region, received detailed information from the authorities about the latest status of the project. Making important statements after the inspections, Memişoğlu heralded the date when the giant facility will be put into service and emphasized that the project is the 28th link of the vision of city hospitals, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called "my dream".

Minister Memişoğlu stated that Trabzon is a regional leader in the field of health with its deep-rooted medical history, universities and qualified human resources, and announced that the hospital building has been actually completed. Stating that the contractor company submitted its provisional acceptance petition as of July 17 and technical tests are currently continuing, Memişoğlu stated that they are halfway through the medical device and hardware procurement processes. Stating that their goal is to admit the first patient to the hospital by the end of November, the Minister stated that thanks to this giant investment, the bed capacity per 10 thousand people in public hospitals in Trabzon will increase to 29.

Minister Memişoğlu stated that the new health complex has a huge capacity to serve not only the local population but also beyond the border, and drew attention to the technological equipment of the hospital at global standards. Stating that the hospital, whose construction started in February 2023 and has a closed area of approximately 265 thousand square meters, is an extremely safe structure with its modern architecture equipped with earthquake isolators, the Minister noted that the facility will also provide healing to foreign patients in a wide geography from Georgia to Iran.

Memişoğlu stated that as a minister born in Trabzon, he knows very well the health opportunities of the city in the past, and that access to health services in Türkiye has become extremely easy today, and citizens receive health services 12.2 times a year on average. However, underlining that the main goal should be to stay healthy without getting sick, Minister Memişoğlu called for avoiding harmful habits such as poor nutrition, inactivity, tobacco and alcohol use. Reminding that the Black Sea Region ranks first in Turkey in terms of obesity rates, Memişoğlu invited the people of the region to adopt a more active lifestyle by saying "Let's eat kuymak, let's eat rice pudding, but please move."
