86 illik həsrətin görüşə çevrilməsinin 6-cı ildönümü
In the statement shared on MHP's official social media accounts, Chairman Devlet Bahçeli expressed his satisfaction and pride in Hagia Sophia Mosque serving as a mosque again. Bahçeli, drawing attention to the importance of this great symbol that has existed since the conquest, celebrated the opening day for worship and emphasized the will behind this historical decision.
"Daxili və xarici işğal cəbhəsini narahat etməyə davam edəcəyik"
Bahçeli used very clear and harsh expressions in his post and made the following evaluations: "Congratulations on the opening of Hagia Sophia to worship. We will continue with determination and faith to disturb the internal and external occupation front, which has lost sleep not only after the conquest, but also with the conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque, and to leave their enthusiasm in their tracks." With these statements, the MHP leader expressed his gratitude to the national and international organizations that oppose the status of Hagia Sophia as a mosque. O, qruplara qarşı barışmaz mövqelərinin qətiyyətlə davam edəcəyini vurğulayıb.
Ayasofya məscidinin tarixi çevrilməsi və arxa planı
Hagia Sophia, the greatest symbol and endowment of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Khan's conquest of Istanbul, regained its status as a mosque on July 24, 2020, with the decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the historical decision of the Council of State, after serving as a museum for many years. The historical temple, which opened its doors to the community with the first Friday prayer after an 86-year break, has been considered one of the strongest symbols of both the world of faith and national sovereignty ever since. Devlet Bahçeli's statement on the occasion of this anniversary was interpreted as once again confirming his determination to protect national and spiritual values at the highest level.
