There was a painful development in the search and rescue activities carried out after the maritime accident that occurred off the coast of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and devastated the entire region. During the search for people missing on the passenger ship "Fleet Jet", which capsized while sailing between Kyrenia and Mersin, the lifeless body of another person was found.

Thanks to the intense efforts of the security forces, coast guard teams and rescue teams dispatched to the region immediately after the accident, 241 people on the ship were rescued alive.
