Sharing the huge size Türkiye has reached in its health infrastructure and its future goals, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu shared data revealing the country's global success in the field of health. Minister Memişoğlu, who made important statements at the ceremony held in Gaziantep, announced that thanks to the large investments made in the last 25 years and the devoted efforts of healthcare professionals, healthcare services can be provided to 1 billion citizens annually in healthcare facilities.

Minister Memişoğlu stated that uninterrupted health services are provided to citizens with a bed capacity of approximately 40 thousand in 27 city hospitals actively serving throughout Türkiye, and noted that new investments continue without slowing down. Memişoğlu announced that the construction works of 13 city hospitals, which will have a total capacity of 16 thousand beds, are continuing and 7 city hospitals are in the project phase, and gave the good news that 20 new city hospitals will be brought to the country with the completion of all these projects.
Sharing an important development for the neighboring city Şanlıurfa, Minister Memişoğlu announced that the temporary admission process of Şanlıurfa City Hospital, with a capacity of 1,700 beds, has come to an end and it is planned to start accepting patients before the end of the year.

Minister Memişoğlu stated that the work continues rapidly in order to continue uninterrupted health services and strengthen the infrastructure in Gaziantep after the February 6 earthquakes, and announced that psychological support was provided to 24 thousand citizens affected by the earthquake, and physical therapy and rehabilitation services were provided to 6 thousand citizens.
Emphasized that health facilities were rebuilt much more durable and stronger than before after the earthquake disaster, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu stated that 21 new hospitals and health facilities have been built in Gaziantep since February 6, 2023, thus increasing the total bed capacity of the city to 9 thousand. Touching on the importance of home health services, Memişoğlu underlined that home health services have been provided to approximately 60 thousand citizens in Gaziantep and 4.5 million citizens throughout Turkey since 2012.

Minister Memişoğlu stated that the 400-bed Nizip State Hospital will be one of the most important health centers in the region with its modern architecture and state-of-the-art infrastructure. He announced that the hospital will provide service with 125 outpatient clinics, 95 intensive care and palliative care beds, 12 fully equipped operating rooms and a modern dental unit. Minister Memişoğlu also gave the good news that it is planned to provide an angiography device to the hospital for the citizens of Nizip and surrounding districts.Stating that reformative steps have been taken in the legislative infrastructure as well as physical investments in the field of health, Minister Memişoğlu noted that a total of 160 legislative regulations have been implemented in the last 2 years and with the latest regulation, home health, palliative care and family medicine services have been combined under one roof.
Stating that Türkiye has one of the most advanced digital health systems in the world, Memişoğlu said that 86 million citizens can access their health data with a single click via e-Nabız. He stated that in the last year, the health reports of approximately 1 million citizens over the age of 80 and bedridden were prepared electronically, without the need for them to go to the hospital.Referring to the rich gastronomy culture of Gaziantep in his speech, Minister Memişoğlu emphasized that healthy living should become a culture; Ол семіздік, енжарлық, темекі шегу біздің заманымыздың ең үлкен проблемасы екенін еске салды. Memişoğlu stated that there are 5 Healthy Life Centers in Gaziantep that offer free services in 17 different branches, from nutritional consultancy to physiotherapy, and invited all citizens to benefit from these centers.
