Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced to the public a historical development regarding the local and national "Moon Space Vehicle" developed within the scope of the "First Moon Mission", one of Turkey's most prestigious projects in the space arena. In his statement, Minister Kacır stated that the production, assembly and integration activities of the Lunar Space Vehicle, which was developed with intensive work by Turkish engineers, have been completely completed. He stated that after this important milestone, the critical testing phase that will measure the spacecraft's durability in space conditions has begun.

The vehicle, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the space environment, was sent to TAI (Turkish Aerospace Industries) facilities to undergo system level environmental tests. These tests, which will be carried out at the Space Systems Integration and Testing (USET) Center within TAI, will measure the durability of the spacecraft against challenging environmental factors such as vibration, acoustics and vacuum that it will be exposed to during launch.

Türkiye, which is moving determinedly towards the goals of the National Space Program, aims to become one of the few countries aiming to reach the Moon with its own technology with this mission. Minister Kacır stated that details about the next stages of the project and the testing processes will continue to be shared in the coming days, and drew attention to the high technological competence reached by the Turkish defense and space industry.
