Underlining Turkey's official stance recognizing the sovereignty of Ukrainian lands, including Crimea, Fidan stated that military methods cannot bring a permanent solution and diplomatic channels should be kept open under all circumstances.

Minister Fidan stated that the devastating effects of the war were felt on a global scale and announced that Türkiye was determined to undertake the role of mediation and facilitation. This statement is a continuation of Turkey's previous critical diplomatic achievements, such as the peace talks held in Istanbul and the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement.
