12. Judicial Package: Punishment and Rights Violations

Temelli stated that the new judicial package, contrary to expectations, led to more punishments and rights violations. He emphasized that especially women's right to alimony and the aggravation of penalties for children prevent the justice system from having a crime-preventing structure. Stating that the rise in crime rates is due to the inadequacies in the judicial packages, Temelli said that the current economy and judicial programs increase injustice. He pointed out the necessity of a system that observes execution justice.

Call for Special Law and Democratic Solution

Temelli emphasized that the 'Special Law' should be put on the agenda of the Parliament and stated that all political parties and society have great responsibilities in this regard. Temelli stated that the judiciary's intervention in politics makes the problems more complicated. He stated that the absolute nullity case filed against CHP has deepened the political crisis and that Türkiye may face more complex political crises in the future. He emphasized that the removal of immunities in 2016 formed the basis of the political crises experienced in the last decade.

In the light of all these evaluations, Temelli stated that a fair regulation in the judicial system and steps should be taken to meet the expectations of the society.
