Quality Increase in Apple Exports
Karaman Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Director Hatice Bulut stated that the studies aimed to provide reliable food to local consumers and to grow high quality apples suitable for export. The project, which was initiated to prevent serious yield losses that may be caused by the apple borer, aims to reduce the use of chemical drugs.
Biotechnical Control Project
Within the scope of the project launched in 2024, biotechnical control methods are applied in an area of 1600 decares. Stating that this pest can cause serious damage to trees, he said that they hope to achieve positive results by absorbing the liquid of the stem borer's female butterfly on the wire and hanging it on the branches within the scope of biotechnical control.
Evaluation from an Agricultural Engineer
