The violent conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for more than four years, continues to deepen with civilian casualties. Finally, a passenger minibus carrying civilians in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine was directly targeted by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Russian army. According to initial reports, 5 civilians lost their lives and at least 7 people were injured in the brutal attack.

Details about the area where the attack took place were shared by local authorities. Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha announced that the UAV attack occurred in the city of Nikopol and its surroundings. While security measures were increased in the region, it was reported that the injured were transferred to the nearest hospitals and their treatment continued. Nikopol, known for its proximity to hot conflict lines since the beginning of the war, once again became the address of an attack targeting civilians.

After the disastrous incident, harsh reactions from the Ukrainian authorities were immediate. Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council President Mykola Lukashuk emphasized that the attack was carried out consciously and brutally. In his statement, Lukashuk drew the attention of the international community to the civilian deaths by saying, "The Russians mockingly shot a passenger bus. They targeted the minibus carrying people who were going about their daily business."
