Minister Şimşek stated that low debt rates are one of the most fundamental factors that increase the resilience of the Turkish economy against external shocks.

Nazir Şimşək tərəfindən paylaşılan məlumatlara görə; The ratio of the debt burden, which consists of the sum of public, financial sector, real sector and household debts, to national income was 91 percent in Türkiye. This ratio reveals how light Türkiye's debt burden is compared to the average of developing countries of 229 percent and the world average of 306 percent. Historically Low Level in Public Debt

Minister Şimşek stated that the positive results of budget discipline and debt management policies are directly reflected in public debt rates. Noting that the ratio of public debt to gross domestic product (GDP) reached a historical low point, falling to 23.1 percent as of the first quarter of this year, Şimşek gave the message that fiscal discipline will be maintained with determination.

Ümumi Xarici borc ehtiyatı 539 milyard dollar səviyyəsindədir

Referring to the foreign debt data for the second quarter of the year, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that Türkiye's gross external debt stock was 539 billion dollars. Stating that the ratio of this stock to national income is expected to follow a horizontal course at 31.8 percent, Şimşek added that despite the difficult conditions in the global economy and the high interest rate environment, Türkiye's low debt structure gives the country great operational and financial flexibility.
