In the interrogation, former Colonel Ali Kahraman was also asked about the contradictory statements he made regarding the security cameras in the region. In his first statement, Kahraman claimed that there were 176 cameras on the route up to the Elmalık Police Station on the Tunceli-Elazığ highway and that there was no blind spot. Kahraman took a step back when the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reminded that there was no camera footage in the hundreds of meters area on both sides of the Sarısaltuk Viaduct where Gülistan Doku disappeared. The former Colonel said, "I thought that all the cameras were in a way that would not leave a dead zone, but I may have been wrong about that area," and stated that the viaduct remained within the police area of responsibility.
