Istanbul, which is the economic and technological heart of Türkiye, is strengthening its place in the global innovation scene with a huge financing package that will support innovative projects. Within the scope of the new support program implemented by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), 300 million TL of resources will be transferred to the innovation ecosystem of the city. The main priorities of the new support program are built on making Istanbul's leading role in the national innovation ecosystem more visible and creating new generation employment areas. The megacity, which hosts more than 40 percent of innovative employment across Türkiye, also produces approximately three-quarters of the national innovative economy turnover on its own. Concentrating resources in Istanbul is considered a strategic move that will enable the city to stand out in global competition by multiplying its enormous potential.
