Underlining that NATO is insufficient in terms of security, Kurtulmuş emphasized that the alliance has become stronger with the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and that it needs to develop new security concepts.

He expressed his hope that these issues will come to the agenda and the future role of the alliance will be shaped at the NATO summits to be held in Turkey in the coming months.
