The total bill paid by Türkiye for energy imports continued to rise in July in line with the activity in global markets and increasing demand. According to provisional foreign trade data prepared in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Ministry of Commerce, the energy item continues to maintain its weight in the country's import dynamics.

According to announced official data, Türkiye's total import volume in July increased by 5.1 percent compared to the same month of 2025. With this increase, the total import value reached 32 billion 965 million 736 thousand dollars. This figure, which has an important place in the country's foreign trade balance, shows that general economic activity and demand for imported inputs remain vibrant.

This amount, which was 5 billion 148 million 959 thousand dollars in the same month last year, indicated a significant increase of 13.1 percent on an annual basis.
