Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced in his statement on his social media account that the restoration and facsimile works of the historical Taşlıcalı Hüseyin Pasha Mosque Mushaf-ı Şerif, one of the most important Islamic heritages of the Balkan geography, have been successfully completed. The feverish efforts carried out to transfer this unique work, which Montenegrin Muslims have guarded for centuries, to the future, once again revealed the importance Turkey attaches to cultural heritage.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy touched upon the implementation process of the project and stated that action was taken in line with the request of the Islamic Union of Montenegro and the direct instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Amalga oshirilgan ishlar natijasida 14-asrga mansubligi maʼlum boʻlgan ushbu gʻoyat qimmatli mamluk mushafining faksimiliyasi tugallandi. According to historical sources, this sacred relic, which was dedicated to the mosque bearing his name by Taşlıcalı Hüseyin Pasha, was meticulously preserved by Montenegrin Muslims for centuries.

The restoration and digitization processes of the historical manuscript were carried out within the scope of the Turkish Manuscripts Association with the participation of experts in the field. Following this process, which was carried out with great sensitivity, the facsimile of the work was completed with the financial and logistical support of the Istanbul Governorship. Ushbu maxsus asarning birinchi nusxasi Prezident Rajab Toyyib Erdo'g'anga taqdim etildi. In the next phase of the project, the printed work will be delivered to Montenegro in the coming days, with a program organized by the Islamic Union of Montenegro, under the coordination of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), and will be exhibited in the land it belongs to.

"I would like to thank Gül, our AK Party Deputy Chairman Zafer Sırakaya, who followed the process closely, and everyone who contributed," he said. Minister Ersoy also stated that he commemorates Taşlıcalı Hüseyin Pasha and all those who have brought this sacred relic to the present day with mercy and gratitude.
