Prezident Erdog'anning COP31 bayonoti: Iqlim o'zgarishi endi harakat talab qiladi

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan answered journalists' questions after the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations, which he attended in the USA, and shared the goals of the COP31 summit to be held in Antalya in November and Turkey's vision to combat climate change.

Answering the questions of members of the press, including Ülke Tv Editor-in-Chief Hasan Öztürk, Erdoğan emphasized that the problems caused by climate change cannot be ignored. Reminding that he also made a special speech about climate change in addition to his general assembly address at the United Nations, Erdoğan drew attention to the importance of this issue for Turkey.

Regarding the summit to be held in Antalya, President Erdoğan said, "At COP31, we will reveal these measures, our road maps, and what we plan to do to combat the negative effects of climate change on different geographies." Stating that a global awareness should be created against environmental crises, Erdoğan said: "The world is our home and it is our duty to protect it from pollution. COP31 is not just a climate conference, it is a platform where developing countries can make their voices heard, reveal their expectations and concrete results can be discussed."

Stating that it is a necessity to help countries that cannot bear the financial burden of global warming alone, Erdoğan touched upon the role of developed countries in this process. Erdoğan said, "It is the responsibility of developed countries to stand by and support countries that have financial difficulties. Combating climate change no longer requires words, but action."

Stating that natural disasters threaten the whole world, regardless of regional discrimination, President Erdoğan said, "Disasters do not know borders, fire, flood and drought do not discriminate between countries. We must remove the borders to solve these problems."
