Aksa Energy succeeded in obtaining an electricity generation license from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) for the storage wind power plant (WPP) project it plans to realize in Manisa. This important development allows the company to further expand its investments in the field of renewable energy.
A New Step in Renewable Energy
According to the statement made by the company, Aksa Energy operates 14 power plants in 8 countries with a total installed power of over 3,500 megawatts. The company, which draws attention with its investments in renewable energy and energy storage technologies in Türkiye, has left behind another important stage by obtaining the electricity production license for the Storage RES project in Manisa.
Technical Details of the Project
The wind power plant planned to be established in Manisa will have a production capacity of 82.16 megawatts of electricity (MWe), 88 megavatt mexanik (MVt) o‘rnatilgan quvvat va 95 megavatt soat energiya saqlash quvvati. This project aims to increase energy supply security while contributing to Türkiye's energy diversity.
Aksa Energy's Future Vision
Aksa Energy Chief Executive Naci Ağbal emphasized that renewable energy projects with storage are a major transformation point for Turkey. Ağbal stated that the company aims to lead in the field of sustainable and renewable energy and that the approval of the Manisa project by EMRA is an important step taken in this direction.
Pioneering Investments and Targets
Ağbal stated that they commissioned the first solar energy power plant with storage in Türkiye in Gaziantep and the first independent electricity storage facility in Şanlıurfa. In addition, they are currently continuing two more investment projects, one of which is a solar power plant (SPP) with storage and the other is a wind power plant (WPP) with storage. These projects are aimed to be completed and put into operation within the year.
Expanding Impact of Investments
Aksa Energy is developing renewable energy projects with storage that will reach a total installed power of 941 megawatts in 11 provinces across Turkey. The company continues to play an important role in the energy sector by commissioning its first investments in this field.
